Popular sites for Learners/Teachers of English
Andrew Biggs Academy One of our good friends here in Thailand is Andrew Biggs, the popular television presenter who now runs his own school. "Runs," incidentally, means administering, teaching and even writing materials.
BBC Learning English Learners who find our own readbangkokpost.com useful will definitely want to visit this remarkable website.
BBC-British Council Teaching English If you are a teacher, you have to know about this website.
ESL Independent Study Lab This is a wonderful and well-organised resource that will keep you busy for years. It links to top-notch websites for listening, reading, pronunciation, grammar, writing, TEOFL and even fun and games. Best of all, everything is graded into four levels according to language proficiency.
Web English Teacher This is an amazing and well-organised resource for teachers, linking to the best the web has to offer in more than 20 categories. To get an idea of how much is there, be sure to check out the site map.
Linguistic-funland. This site is probably best for teachers and it is a good starting point for searching the Internet for TESL-related sites. The site has a large following and it sends us a lot of traffic. For suggestions on how to use the site, start here.
The Internet TESL Journal This is a massive resource for both teachers and students. Students should go directly here.
Business English quick and easy This is a local site geared for Thai students. In fact, you really need to know Thai to take advantage of it.
ESL Flow This is a site developed by Peter Snashall, a teacher here in Thailand, that I have been using a lot lately for last-minute preparation for my class at the Bangkok Post. I have never failed to find something there and I have also discovered some very useful websites in the process.
DSD English This is a Thai-language site with lots of links that I think many of you will find useful. Whoever runs it has put a lot of thought into it and the comments are quite good.
