Coups are bad for business in Thailand
By Jon Fernquest

Monday night.Rumours of another coup in Thailand spread fast.
It turns out the vehicles were just being sent to be repaired.
The final decision on the Thaksin assets seizure case will soon be made by the Supreme Court and some predict a big confrontation.
No one knows exactly what will happen and with this uncertainty rumours arise to fill the knowledge gap.

Thailand's investment climate is already hit by domestic political instability, the court suspension of major industrial projects at Map Ta Phut and uncertainties in the global economic climate.
A military coup or abrupt change in government could dismay investors and bring policies such as the 1.43-trillion-baht Thai Khem Khaeng infrastructure programme to a halt...economic growth, estimated to rebound to 3% this year, could be halved if a coup occurred.
