prospects (noun) -
a. possibilities, things that might happen
b. the possibility that something will happen
c. the chances of being successful
d. something that people expect will happen

prospective (adj) - wants to be or is likely to be

prospecting - searching for natural resources or metals like oil, gold, or silver
prospector - a person who does prospecting
